Pre-Approval from US Embassy!

We received "Pre-Approval Notice" from the US Embassy in Guatemala this morning. YAHOO!!! It only took them 7 working days after receiving our DNA to approve our case and turn it loose. Some families have waited months. Our attorney said "Let's just credit one to government efficiency!", we can do that and thank God for allowing them to be so efficient with our case.

Now our case goes to the PGN. (PGN stands for Procuradoria General de la Nacion. Procuradoria is a Spanish term that is used in Central America. Its relative to jurisprudence in Guatemala. The PGN in Guatemala is made up of lawyers, judges, counselors and administrators as a combination of the US Immigration Service and elements of the Justice Department. The Procurador is the person who manages and administers laws on behalf of people adopting through the PGN in Guatemala. Just in case you were wondering) Hopefully they will be as efficient. Some families (very few) have gone through the PGN in a month and others have been in and kicked out for the silliest things multipule times.

It's not over, but every step is one step closer to bringing Ozzy home.

Keep praying!

First Visit to the Memphis Zoo

Sunday, February 1 was such a beautiful "spring like" day here in Memphis so we decided to have our first adventure at the zoo. Ozzy loved the animals, mostly the bears and monkeys. Enjoy the slide show above.
