Boys Will Be Boys

Just checking in to let everyone know we are doing fine. Yesterday we made a grocery run...literally, we walked, very quickly, a couple miles to the grocery, meat market, bread store and back. Very good exercise here. Monday is Independence Day in Guatemala and the crowds were already building in the city for the holiday weekend. We have been hearing fireworks going off for a week. We heard that last year they set off 20 million fireworks just in Antigua alone.

Side note: We haven't quite figured out why there are so many fat people here with the abundance of available fresh fruit and vegetables and all of the walking they do.  Maybe it's the ice cream?!
We stayed in today and this afternoon had a nice visit from another family, also adopting through our pitiful agency, that has been here wwwaaaayyy to long because of the same incompetence we have experienced.  It is always so much fun to watch Ozzy playing with other children.  He and Max had a little rocky start, but by evening they had figured out that there were plenty of toys for both of them.
Ozzy is doing great.  He blew his nose for the first time today and waved goodbye to our guests this evening, also a first.  It is so much fun watching these important things.  I know that most
of you have already gone through this, some several times, but please bare with us.
We are only going to get worse.

First Visit to the Memphis Zoo

Sunday, February 1 was such a beautiful "spring like" day here in Memphis so we decided to have our first adventure at the zoo. Ozzy loved the animals, mostly the bears and monkeys. Enjoy the slide show above.
