Today has been pretty slow (compared to the past couple weeks). Kimberly made an appointment with a pediatrician/infectious disease specialist for a consultation tomorrow. We want to know if based on the abysmal medical reports we have received from our agency/facilitator and from the pictures we have taken of Ozzy and his recent sickness if there is anything we should be concerned about or request when we see an US Embassy approved doctor during our June visit. Ozzy appears to be fairly healthy, just showing the symptoms of being institutionalized. These symptoms (developmental delays) usually disappear quickly once a child receives individual care which Ozzy is now receiving with his new family.
During our last visit we met a great family, also from the Memphis area, that just brought their baby home last Thursday. He is undergoing several tests this week and needs your prayers. Another family we have come to know, who is still in the adoption process in Guatemala, needs to bring their son home for proper health care as soon as possible and we are sure they would appreciate your prayers also. I didn't start this thought to turn into a prayer list, but here is one more. Friends that we met on our first visit to Guatemala are facing their PGN birth mother interview on Thursday and they have not been able to locate their birth mom. I could continue with a specific story for each of the families we have met and do not want to lump them all into one category because each story has it's own unique problems. The fact is we all need God's assistance to get through this and bring our babies home. So when you read our story and say a prayer for us, please say a prayer for all of our friends that are in a similar or worse situation than we are.
I will leave you with this thought tonight.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

First Visit to the Memphis Zoo
Sunday, February 1 was such a beautiful "spring like" day here in Memphis so we decided to have our first adventure at the zoo. Ozzy loved the animals, mostly the bears and monkeys. Enjoy the slide show above.
