Good Day with the Family

We have had some computer and network problems on this trip, sorry for the delays in updates and pictures.

Yesterday afternoon Ozzy began running a low grade fever. We had him out in the cool damp wind on Thursday and he had to go back out in the cold rainy weather yesterday morning for the PGN appointment. We gave him tylenol and cool towels and a couple cool baths (that he did not like at all) and that seemed to cut the fever without calling our doctor here. Needless to say we stayed in yesterday afternoon and evening. It was nice for the three of us to just be together and play, nap or take a cold bath....burrrrrr. I did step out to the bakery and order a cake for Sunday.
Today we ventured out (alone) to the big mall two blocks from the hotel. I'm sorry, but everyone cannot be poor in this country or there would not be all of the famous name stores with the famous prices. Shoe store after shoe store and jewelery stores everywhere. We found our way to the big department store there, Simens, and found more toys for Ozzy's bithday. He is he best shopper. Ozzy loves to go...anywhere.

This afternoon we cleaned and cooked pumpkin and carrots for Ozzy. Then went to the Piaz (Walmart) to buy supplies for our big "feliz cumpleaƱos" (happy birthday) party tomorrow afternoon with Irma and her family and Luis and his family. We stayed up late tonight to decorate for tomorrow. I know it's 2 am CDT where most of you are, so enjoy it with a cup of coffee in the morning.

Here are a few pictures from the past two days...enjoy.

The sun did come back out! Great pics & posts. HipHipHooray---the interview is over. I don't know where this leaves us ib this convoluted process, but we are on significant step closer to having a new playmare. Happy Birthday Ozzy---we will do some celebrating of our own when you come home! Be safe! Love-the Summers

First Visit to the Memphis Zoo

Sunday, February 1 was such a beautiful "spring like" day here in Memphis so we decided to have our first adventure at the zoo. Ozzy loved the animals, mostly the bears and monkeys. Enjoy the slide show above.
