Ozzy's World: Finally GOOD News!

After a roller coaster week and silence on the blog we have good news to report. We found out this afternoon that there has actually been a national computer problem that was causing our birth certificate, and a lot more, to not print. We know we have printed copies in El Estor waiting to be picked up, but we are going to try to get it in the morning in Guatemala City (I know it's Saturday but they are open half a day....pray) if not we should have it Monday. We also learned that Ozzy's Adoption Registration number in the Municipality of El Estor is #1. His is the first RENAP registered certificate ever there. We knew he was number one all the time, but now it's written in the books of Guatemalan history. Folks the really tough part is over we hope. After the birth certificate it's all American issues, probably another 2 weeks here.

Ozzy is doing much better after a Guatemalan home remedy bath in some kind of herbs and weeds, then medicated lotion and rolled in corn starch. He slept last night and this morning the majority of his spots were scabbing over with much less itching today. He seems to be coming back to his normal self.

We ran out of time in this apartment so we will also be moving either Monday or Tuesday depending on the day that we have to go into Guatemala City for our submission to the embassy, Passport, DNA and physical. We knew before coming here that we only had until October 6 at the very latest because they have the apartment rented for the rest of the year. No problem I signed a lease at the Santa Rosa apartments just half a block away. Hopefully we will only need it a couple weeks at the most.
